Néstor Cortés (1-1) secured the win after pitching six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks on Thursday against the Reds. He struck out six batters. After being hit hard for eight runs in his first start of the season against the Yankees, Cortés made a strong comeback in his second start, not allowing a baserunner in four of his six innings. Yordan went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in the Astros' 5-2 victory over the Twins on Thursday. The Astros' offense has been sluggish at the start of this season, with Yordan being a major factor. He hasn't managed a hit in five of the seven games he's started, going just 3-for-24 overall with no home runs and 4 RBIs. On a positive note, the team has a day off on Friday, giving Yordan an opportunity to improve over the weekend.
