Phillies lead 3-2

Philadelphia Phillies defeated Arizona Diamondbacks 6-1 in Game 5 of the National League Series on Saturday night.

The Phillies lead the best-of-seven series 3-2, meaning they are a win away from repeating as NL champions and advancing to the World Series.

Among the Phillies' big nights were solo homers by Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, as well as a two-run blast by J.T. Realmuto.

The right-handed Zack Wheeler also got an excellent start, beating out Diamondbacks ace Zac Gallen.

Teams that win Game 5 in a best-of-seven postseason series have won 79 out of 112 times (71%). In series with the current 2-3-2 format, teams that win Game 5 before going home for Games 6-7 have won 20 of 25 times (80%).

Game 6 will take place on Monday, so the teams will have Sunday off.
