Jorge Soler proves to be crucial for the Braves.

On Friday night, Atlanta suffered a one-run loss to Miami in the eighth inning. The outfielder, who was the 2021 World Series MVP and returned to the Braves in a trade with the Giants at this year's Trade Deadline, came through with a clutch RBI single to tie the game. This successful hit set the stage for Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna, leading to a 5-3 victory in the end. In the night Soler went 1-for-4 with a strikeout. This year he is slashing .236/.328/.410 with 12 HRs and 46 RBIs.

Yandy Díaz had a productive game with multiple hits.

The double marked his 22nd of the year, following a career-best 35 doubles last season. Showing consistency in July, he posted a slash line of .273/.324/.439 across 16 games in the month. Despite failed trade talks with the Astros or Yankees, he is currently under a reasonable contract that will see him earn $10 million in 2025, with a $12 million club option for 2026.

Aroldis Chapman blows save.
