Yandy Díaz and Randy Arozarena again at the top of the lineup. Bryan Ramos with one hit.

Once again, Arozarena and Díaz lead the Rays' lineup. On Monday, Díaz went 1-for-5 with an RBI in an 8-2 victory over the White Sox, after completing a weekend sweep of the Mets. As for Arozarena, he went 1-for-3 with his third double of the season, two walks, and his sixth stolen base. In addition, he was picked up at first base and struck out once. As Tampa's key players, both players continue to contribute to the team's success and are indispensable to its postseason prospects. In the same game, rookie Bryan Ramos went 1-for-4 and grounded into a double play for Chicago.

Red Sox sent RHP Vladimir Gutiérrez outright to Triple-A Worcester.

Gutiérrez was designated for assignment on Wednesday, but he cleared waivers and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Worcester. He was acquired from the Brewers in April and made one appearance for the Marlins earlier in the season, allowing three runs on three hits in four innings. He figures to serve as organizational pitching depth.

Jorge Soler was not in the Giants lineup on Monday against the Phillies.

It was the second straight missed game for Soler, who is battling shoulder discomfort. It doesn’t seem like a major concern, but it is certainly something to think about for series to come.

One hit and a walk for Andy Pagés on Monday.

The Dodgers' Pagés went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in a 6-3 win over the Marlins on Monday. The 25-year-old is off to an excellent start in his MLB career slashing .319/.346/.556 with 5 doubles, 4 homers, 14 runs, and 12 RBI over 18 games, including six multiple-hit performances.

Dairon Blanco batted ninth for the Royals on Monday.

The Kansas City Royals listed Dairon Blanco as their starter in centerfield for Monday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. In a 3-2 victory against the Brewers, he went 1-for-3 with a strikeout. In his last seven games Blanco is slashing .308 (4-for-13) with two runs scored and three stolen bases.

Yasmani Grandal was benched Monday.

Grandal was out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels. After being activated from the 10-day injured list over the weekend, Grandal started behind the plate Saturday and Sunday against the Rockies, going 1-for-7 between those contests. Now that he's moved past the bout with plantar fasciitis that sidelined him from the first five weeks of the season, Grandal is expected to serve as the Pirates' No. 1 catcher, though backup Joey Bart should still factor into the equation if he continues to swing a hot bat.

Andy Ibáñez was out of lineup Monday.

Andy Ibáñez was out of the lineup for the Detroit Tigers against the Cleveland Guardians Monday. In the late innings, Ibáñez entered the game as a pinch hitter and went 0-for-2. According to projections, Ibáñez could have 209 more plate appearances this season, with 6 home runs, 21 runs, 24 RBI, and a .253 batting average.

Lázaro Montes hits Grand Slam for sixth home run.

Seattle Mariners outfield prospect Lázaro Montes went 3-for-5 with two singles and a grand slam in the second game of a doubleheader for Single-A Modesto on Sunday. The home run was the 19-year-old's sixth of the season and fifth in his last eight games. The left-handed hitter also now has six multi-hit games in his last eight, and his season RBI total stands at 36. Now slashing .313/.415/.566 on the season, Montes is making a push for a spot in the MLB Top 100 rankings and a promotion to Double-A before the year is out. Pitchers should know his name by now, although he likely does not see the majors until sometime in 2025 or 2026.
