Raisel Iglesias secures victory against Giants.

Raisel Iglesias (2-1) earned the win against the Giants on Monday by striking out four batters in two flawless innings during a 1-0 triumph. Chris Sale and Blake Snell displayed exceptional pitching, combining for 23 strikeouts and allowing only five hits and no runs. The game remained scoreless until the 10th inning when Atlanta scored a run on a sacrifice fly by Travis d'Arnaud. Iglesias, who entered the game in the ninth, continued on the mound in the 10th inning to secure the win. The experienced closer has not conceded an earned run since June 16, boasting a remarkable 0.32 WHIP and an impressive 25:2 K:BB ratio over his last 19 innings. He has claimed both of his wins this season and successfully converted all six of his save opportunities.

Yordan Alvarez had a 2-for-5 performance with an RBI on Monday in a victory against the Rays.

Yordan Alvarez has been on fire at the plate, recording seven multi-hit games in 10 appearances since the beginning of August. The 27-year-old standout is hitting .357 (20-for-56) with five home runs and 10 RBIs in his last 15 games.

Adolis García was back in the lineup for the Rangers on Monday, starting in right field and hitting cleanup.

It marked the first time since July 6 that Adolis García batted fourth. During this period, Wyatt Langford, Nathaniel Lowe, and Josh Jung have all had their stints in the clean-up position. Adolis had a strong start to August, going 10-for-28 (.357) in the first eight games. This performance might have prompted the Rangers to test his consistency by placing him in the heart of the lineup. In Monday's game, he went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts as the Rangers fell to Boston 5-4 in extra innings.

Lourdes Gurriel did not play on Monday.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr., who was dealing with a hamstring injury, was absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rockies. Following his departure from Sunday's 12-5 victory over the Phillies due to tightness in his left hamstring, Gurriel will be missing at least one game. Jake McCarthy took his place in left field as Gurriel is being considered day-to-day by the Diamondbacks.

Luis Robert Jr. sitting out of the starting lineup.

Luis Robert Jr. was absent from the starting lineup in Monday's game against the Yankees. Robert took a break for the series opener after appearing in each of the White Sox's initial eight games of August, during which he went 2-for-35 with 15 strikeouts. Dominic Fletcher replaced Robert in center field.

Miguel Vargas was given Monday off.

Vargas did not play in Monday's game against the Yankees, marking the first instance of him being on the bench since his transfer from the Dodgers to the White Sox on July 29. In the White Sox's recent 10 games, Vargas had six starts at third base, three as a designated hitter, and one in left field. However, his performance was underwhelming, as he only achieved a 3-for-36 record with a home run and a 6:13 BB:K ratio.

Edgar Quero continues to excel in AAA.

Chicago White Sox catching prospect Edgar Quero has been standing out as one of the top hitters in the minor leagues since the beginning of August. In his first eight games, the young catcher has maintained an impressive batting line of .419/.472/.677 with two home runs, seven RBI, and a 4:5 BB:K ratio. He has only failed to get a hit once and has recorded at least three hits in three games. Overall, the 21-year-old has appeared very comfortable since his promotion to Triple-A Charlotte, boasting a solid .329/.426/.532 line over 22 games. Quero is currently ranked as the third-best prospect in the White Sox organization and the 70th-best in all of baseball according to MLB.com.
