Rangers' Adolis García: Two hits, two RBI in win. García went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 7-2 victory over the Angels. The 29-year-old broke out of a 1-for-12 skid with two hits and two RBI Wednesday, including an RBI double to put the Rangers on top 3-2 in the third inning. The two RBI Wednesday give him 94 on the season, good for third in the majors among outfielders. García is batting .222 (14-for-63) with four home runs, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored in 18 games this month.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Slugs 11th homer. Moncada went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Guardians. Moncada took Triston McKenzie deep in the fourth inning to tally his 11th homer of the season. Moncada has a disappointing season overall, though he's hitting .305 with four home runs, eight RBI and 10 runs scored in 13 starts since returning from the injured list.

Unfortunately, Moncada had a tough day at the office defensively, making mental errors over some routine plays that allowed the Guardians to capitalize in a 8-2 victory.

Randy Arozarena was back in the Rays' starting lineup on Wednesday.

There is a rumor floating around that Arozarena got into a scuffle in the parking lot with teammate Yandy Díaz on Monday, which is why both players were held out of action on Tuesday. Arozarena was back in there Wednesday versus the Astros and went 2-for-4 with two strikoeuts leaving his BA for the season in .266.

White Sox' José Abreu and Yasmani Grandal: Combined for three hits on Wednesday.

Abreu went 1-for-4 while Grandal was 2-for-3 in a 8-2 loss to the Guardians on Wednesday night. In a White Sox team that is loaded of "good" hitters but that doesn't really work as a team, Abreu is leading the way, once again, with slash line of .308/.382/.450 15 HR and 72 RBI. Meanwhile, Grandal is just glad to be back in the starting lineup, after missing part of the season with an injury. He is slashing .206/.307/.277 in 90 games with only 5 HR and 26 RBI.

Yandy Díaz was held out of the Rays starting lineup for the second consecutive game on Wednesday due to soreness in his left shoulder.

Díaz didn't start Wednesday against the Astros due to left shoulder soreness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reported. Díaz was on the bench for a second consecutive matchup Wednesday, but his absence from Tuesday's lineup was partially due to the fact that he got into an altercation with teammate Randy Arozarena in the parking lot following Monday's game. It's not yet clear whether Díaz will be available off the bench Thursday, but he should tentatively be considered day-to-day.

Astros' Aledmys Díaz: Drives in pair. Díaz went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Rays. Díaz opened the scoring for Houston with an RBI single in the first inning, and he added another run-scoring knock in the eighth frame. Though he doesn't have a consistent defensive home, Díaz has started five of nine games since being activated from the injured list. In that span, he's hit .333 with two homers, six RBI and three runs scored.

Astros' Yordan Álvarez and Yuli Gurriel: Hitless against the Rays.

Álvarez and Gurriel went 0-for-7 combined, in a 5-2 victory against the Rays on Wednesday. Álvarez walked and struck out once, while Gurriel continues his terrible 2022 season that has him now slashing .148/.148/.185 with 5 strikeouts and just one RBI in his last 7 games.

Dodgers' Miguel Vargas: Hitless on Wednesday.

Miguel Vargas went 0-for-3 on Wednesday in a 6-1 loss to the D-backs. Vargas was victim of veteran starter Madison Bumgarner and reliever Kevin Ginkel, whom dominated him - and the Dodgers - all night. Vargas slash line of .156/.182/.188 isn't important right now, and he must seize every opportunity he receives and prepare for a promising 2023 season.

Luis Robert was once again absent from the White Sox starting lineup for Wednesday's tilt against the Guardians.

It seems as though the 25-year-old is simply going to have to play through the nagging soreness in his left hand/wrist for the remainder of the season -- and will get plenty of days off on the nights where he isn't feeling up to it. AJ Pollock started in his place in center field and batted seventh against Triston McKenzie and the Guardians on Wednesday.

Reds' José Barrero: Didn't start Wednesday. Barrero wasn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox. Barrero started the last three games and went 2-for-12 with a run and five strikeouts. He got a breather while Spencer Steer started at shortstop and batted seventh.
