Adolis García went 4-or-4 with a homer, stolen base and three RBI in an 11-8 win over the Athletics on Sunday.

Talk about filling the box score. García also scored three runs in one of his best efforts of the season. The homer was a two-run bomb in the first inning off a wholly ineffective Paul Blackburn, and he's now gone deep 17 times on the season. The 29-year-old outfielder boosted his season slash line to .248/.292/.460 with 38 extra-base hits and 58 RBI through 90 games. After an 18-game homerless drought, Garcia has gone 8-for-17 (.471) with two long balls over his last four contests.

Yandy Díaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Royals. Arozarena: Two hits.

Díaz drilled a solo shot off of Kris Bubic in the third inning, ending a 56-game homerless drought. He later doubled and scored a run in the sixth. The 30-year-old was in a 3-for-24 (.125) slump since his last multi-hit game July 11. Díaz improved his season slash line to .295/.409/.404 with 24 extra-base hits and 43 runs scored through 86 games. In the same game, Randy Arozarena added his double #21 of the season, after going 2-for-4 in the game. Arozarena slash line is .255/.315/.430 for the year with 12 HR and 44 RBI.

Rockies' José Iglesias: Two more hits on Sunday.

In a 10-9 loss to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon, Iglesias added two hits to reach 89 this year. The Cuban shortstop went 2-for-5 in the game with a run scored and two strikeouts, leaving his BA in .301 for the year.

Néstor Cortés struck out seven over six innings in the Yankees' 6-0 shutout of the Orioles on Sunday.

Cortés (8-3) earned the win against the Orioles on Sunday, allowing no runs on six hits while striking out seven and walking none over six innings. Cortés' command was impressive in Sunday's contest. The lefty threw 64 of 94 pitches for strikes in the game, tallying seven strikeouts and no walks. He was able to strand all of the Baltimore baserunners for his fifth game of the season without allowing an earned run. This was Cortés' first win since July 2, but his third quality start since then. It was also the fourth time since June 2 that he lasted at least six innings. Cortés will take a 2.48 ERA into his next appearance.

Angels' Raisel Iglesias and Braves' Guillermo Heredia saw action on Sunday.

In a none save situation, closer Iglesias pitched the ninth inning in a 9-1 victory against the Braves on Sunday. Iglesias didn't have any strikeout while allowed a single in a scoreless inning. The veteran closer is trying to lower his 4.36 ERA after going 0-for-2 with a 6.75 ERA in his last seven games. Meanwhile in the same game, Heredia went 1-for-2 with a strikeout. The backup outfielder' slash line is .127/.203/.536 in only 63 at bats this year.

White Sox's José Abreu: Double against the Guardians.

Abreu went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts Sunday afternoon in a 6-3 win against the Guardians. Abreu's hit was his number 26 double of the year and 289 in the Majors. The Cuban first baseman is slashing .304/.388/.468 this year with 11 HR and 47 RBI.

Astros' Yulieski Gurriel and Aledmis Díaz: Combined for three hits on Sunday.

Gurriel and Díaz went 3-for-7 combined on Sunday's 8-5 victory against the Mariners. Gurriel added his double #27 of the season - most of any Cuban player this year - and also scored a run. Díaz was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring two runs and lifting his BA to .241 for the year.

White Sox OF prospect Oscar Colás went 3-for-3 with two homers for Double-A Birmingham on Sunday.

Colás, 23, also reached via walk. He's gone deep three times in six games since being promoted to the Barons, and he's up to 10 on the year with the seven he hit in 59 games at High-A. He's shown some pop, but the highlight has been the hit tool with a .325 average in his 65 games along with a solid .381 on-base percentage. Colás is more high-floor than high-ceiling, but there's a very good chance he's a starting outfielder for the White Sox by this point in 2023.

Nat's Yadiel Hernández: Two hits on return to the lineup on Sunday.

Yadiel went 2-for-3 in a 4-3 win against the D-backs on Sunday afternoon. Yadiel was back in the Nats's lineup after sitting out on Saturday. He added his double #16 of the year and also scored. Late in the game he was replaced by PH Lane Thomas. Yadiel is slashing .266/.309/.407 this year but he is trying to get out of a slump that has him with a slash line of .158/.200/.211 in the last seven games.

Jay's Lourdes Gurriel Jr.: One hit on Sunday.

After going 6-for-7 on Friday and 0-for-3 on Saturday, Lourdes went 1-for-5 on Sunday in an 8-4 win against the Red Sox. Gurriel batted third and the hit was his number 100 of the season, just the second year in a row that he is able to achieve this after having 138 in 2021. Gurriel is having a phenomenal year slashing .313/.363/.436 in 87 games with 5 HR and 41 RBI.

Astros' Yordan Álvarez: Hand soreness remains. Álvarez was out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners due to soreness in his right hand, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reported. The 25-year-old was activated from the injured list Thursday and started the previous three games, but he was held out Sunday due to lingering soreness in his right hand. Álvarez is likely to continue having his workload managed since he can't fully get past the hand injury, though it has yet to affect his effectiveness given he's posted a 1.105 OPS in July.

White Sox's Yasmani Grandal: Breather Sunday. Grandal was not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Guardians. Grandal got a day off after he went 4-for-7 with an RBI and walk while starting both games of Saturday's doubleheader. Seby Zavala started at catcher and batted seventh in the series finale.
