José Abreu went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead RBI double on Thursday, leading the White Sox to a 4-3 victory over the Twins.

Abreu put the White Sox ahead for good in a low-scoring affair at Target Field in Minnesota with an RBI double to center field off Twins lefty reliever Caleb Thielbar. Chicago has already been officially eliminated from the playoff race, but Abreu's performance hasn't been one of the reasons for that development. The 35-year-old veteran first baseman is hitting a robust .306/.379/.447 with 84 runs scored, 15 home runs and 75 RBI across 663 plate appearances.

Yandy Díaz (shoulder) told reporters he's "a little worried" about potentially not returning before the end of the season.

Díaz also told reporters he's working hard and doing all of the treatments possible to help speed up the process. Díaz was set to return on Wednesday night but got scratched before first pitch and now also missed Thursday's series finale in Cleveland. He hasn't played a full game for the Rays since September 19. The infielder has been out with soreness in his left shoulder, and while considered day-to-day, it doesn't sound like he's going to be back in the lineup anytime soon -- relatively speaking.

Rangers' Adolis García: Ends homer drought. García went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings loss to the Mariners. García hit just .211 (8-for-38) with a triple, two doubles, four RBI, five runs and a stolen base in 11 games since his last homer. The outfielder has enjoyed a productive 2022 campaign with 26 homers, 25 stolen bases, 97 RBI, 86 runs scored, 31 doubles and five triples in 149 contests. He's also slashed a respectable .250/.301/.454 across 632 plate appearances.

Dodgers' Miguel Vargas: Hit tiebreaking single in win.

Miguel Vargas went 1-for-2 with 3 RBI Thursday against the Padres. The rookie outfielder hit a tiebreaking, two-run single with the bases loaded in the sixth inning and the NL West champion Dodgers beat San Diego 5-2 on Thursday night to slow the Padres' playoff push.

Vargas, who also had a sacrifice fly, made his big league debut on Aug. 3. Miguel Vargas is making a push to be included on the Los Angeles Dodgers' postseason roster and manager Dave Roberts said he is definitely in the mix.

Yoán Moncada (foot) remained absent from the White Sox lineup Thursday.

Moncada is considered day-to-day with a mild bone bruise in his left foot. The expectation is that he will be able to return to action at some point before the regular season comes to an end next Wednesday. Josh Harrison covered third base and hit eighth for the Pale Hose on Thursday afternoon in Minnesota.

Rockies' Jose Iglesias: Not in Thursday's lineup. Iglesias didn't start Thursday against the Giants, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reported. Iglesias returned from the injured list for Wednesday's game against San Francisco and went 0-for-4. He went to the bench a day later while Elehuris Montero served as the designated hitter and batted seventh.
