A Yander Guevara made for deciding games and an offensive that took off from the very first episode, left no doubt about the intentions of the Ciego de Avila Tigers to win the Cuban baseball league championship. The Tigers won their second title in five years with a 7-2 victory in game seven over the hard fighting Isla de la Juventud Pirates, in their first ever championship series.

Yorbis Borroto homered in the seventh and scored the decisive run in the ninth and the Ciego de Avila Tigers are just one win from another championship, after beating the Isla de la Juventud Pirates 4-3 Wednesday afternoon for a 3-2 Series edge.
It was the Tigers pitching that managed to frustrate numerous Isla rallies that made the game possible.
Transforming their offense from anemic to ascendant, the Pirates shifted the 2015 Cuban Finals into a competitive high gear with their 7-6 victory over the Ciego de Avila Tigers in Tuesday afternoon's Game 4.
The Tigers came in to the Cristóbal Labra park and beat the Pirates at their own game on Monday afternoon.
They took advantage of their limited scoring opportunities and turned things over to the Ciego de Avila bullpen, which recorded the final 7 outs of the game for a 5-2 win in Game 3 of the Cuban Finals.
It was an excellent game and a historic one. Alfredo Rodríguez revived the Pirates with a tying double in the seventh inning, then Jorge Luis Barcelán hit a winning two-run homer in the eight as Isla de la Juventud stunned the Ciego de Avila Tigers 6-4 Saturday night to even the Cuban championship series at 1-all.
The win was the first in Pirates' history in a Cuban Final.
