Cubs again get stellar pitching in 1-0 win
Starting pitching was expected to dominate this week at Calixto García Stadium by at least one team.
That team was the Holguín Cubs, whose rotation dominated the first two games of the series against the Lions, despite having a slow start of the season.
Carlos Santiesteban (1-1) became the latest Cubs starter to turn in a stellar performance, exiting to a standing ovation after pitching six innings and beating Frank Montieh (0-1) on Wednesday night in a 1-0 victory over the Industriales Lions.

Closer Yaisel Sierra (2) followed Santiesteban, and had his second consecutive stellar performance, pitching three scoreless innings and allowing one hit. Sierra struck out two and walked two, for his second save of the season.
